Construction plans
Here you can find out which construction files of Rotterdam and surrounding municipalities we have. Some contain scans of the construction drawings and can be viewed on the website. For other drawings, you can make an appointment at the city archive.
Before you begin
- Please note, the descriptions are written in Dutch.
- Nearly all construction drawings of Rotterdam filed between 1905 and 1940 have been lost due to the bombardment of Rotterdam in May 1940.

Not found what you are looking for? Not every record is digitized. If you need assistance in accessing the collections, please contact us via our contact form or phone number.
Viewing construction files
Some construction records have been digitised. The scans can be found by clicking on the description. If you do not see any scans, then the file is not available digitally.
You can then view the file in the reading room. You can reserve the file by clicking on the black icon of a person with an open book. This is at the top right of the description. The file will then be ready for you in the reading room on your chosen visit date.
We do not send the files to you digitally.
