Water authority Hollandse Delta
History
The water authority Hollandse Delta was created in 2005 from a merger between the water authorities the Brielse Dijkring, Goeree-Overflakkee, the Groote Waard and IJsselmonde and part of the Zuiveringschap Hollandse Eilanden en Waarden. Hollandse Delta is responsible for water management on the South Holland Islands.

The Rotterdam City Archives holds the archives of various legal predecessors of the Hollandse Delta water authorities:
- Waterschap De Oude Maas in Barendrecht (1871-1974)
- Waterschap De Westdijken van het eiland IJsselmonde (1898-1954)
- Waterschap Oude en Nieuwe Maasdijken voor het Land van Rhoon (1898-1955)
- Waterschap De Dijkring IJsselmonde (1955-1973)
- Waterschap IJsselmonde (1974-2000)
